Pro-Choice Madness The pro-choice movement has taught women to put their feelings and interests above everything else. Thus, the right to choose on the part of the mother overrules the right to live on the part of the child. Constitutional rights, scientific facts, and gospel truths are all dismissed in favor of the woman’s decision. The pro-choice movement has even influenced the way people speak about the abortion issue. They now speak of “terminating a pregnancy” rather than “terminating a life” and are always sure to use the term “fetus” rather than “baby.” Pro-choicers hide behind the banner of “choice” and “freedom” while denying those very things to the unborn. They say they’re only protecting the right of a woman to make decisions for her own body, while ignoring the fact that the baby’s body is not her body. Why Is It? Why is it that criminals have been prosecuted for killing unborn children in an attack on a pregnant woman but the mother could kill the child without penalty? Why is it that we show more concern for speckled owls and rain forests than we do for human life? Why is it that a rapist cannot be executed for his crime but the child conceived in the act can be executed? Why is it that many in our society oppose the death penalty for “guilty” criminals but will march on the streets of Washington for the rights of women to execute “innocent” babies? We desperately need to stop the downward spiral that is leading us further and further away from God and into insanity. The pro-choice movement is not a friend to the woman, the child, or the country. Let us stop the pro-choice madness!
